FASHION REVOLUTION - WHO MADE MY CLOTHES?

It’s so easy to shop at fast-fashion stores without thinking about where and how those clothes were actually made. Deep down, we all know that behind those cheap prices are underpaid workers struggling to cover their basic living costs—yet the fast-fashion industry continues to thrive. The nonprofit organization Fashion Revolution e.V. is fighting to change that by raising awareness and advocating for a fairer future in the textile industry.

Fashion Revolution is backed by a network of international organizations, NGOs, and sustainable fashion initiatives that work to empower consumers and hold the fashion industry accountable. Their mission is twofold:

1. Expose the injustices within the garment industry.

2. Promote positive change through fair and ethical fashion practices.

By championing eco-friendly Fair Fashion labels, the movement encourages conscious consumption and inspires consumers to rethink their shopping habits.

The sheer power of the fashion industry holds the potential to drive major social and environmental improvements—but only if we push for a shift toward sustainable and ethical practices.

With the question „Who made my clothes?“ Fashion Revolution challenges consumers to trace the origins of their wardrobe. This initiative aims to raise awareness about transparent supply chains and fair working conditions and to push conventional fashion brands to adopt ethical and sustainable production methods.

In countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh, the minimum wage is often less than €100 per month. The global campaign goodclothesfairpay.eu is calling for living wages for all textile workers. Use your voice—sign the petition today!
