Our direct producers and production facilities are a core component of our sustainable approach. When choosing them, compliance with our environmental and social standards is a key priority, which is why we only work with producers who have passed our strict onboarding assessment and can meet our requirements. For this purpose, our direct producers commit to following a Code of Conduct.

We value a close relationship with our producers and conduct regular assessments, interviews and visits with our producers and production sites. On this basis, we undertake re-evaluative assessments of our producers, which guarantee compliance with our social and sustainability standards.

To track our status quo and identify areas for improvement, we have integrated an annual internal assessment that uses scoring to record updates in the areas of sustainability and transparency - focusing on environmental and social standards - such as emissions, resource protection, management of chemicals, complaint management, wages and working conditions - as well as certificates, transaction records and supply chain management.

Supply Chain Management

We can specify all the locations of our main materials and production steps. However, we do not have our own production sites, but rely on the supply chains of our direct production partners. These suppliers are located exclusively in Europe. However, when it comes to crops that are classically not cultivated or only cultivated to a small extent in Europe, such as organic cotton, our suppliers import the organic cotton bales or the spun yarn from the Global South. In this case, we collect and check the transaction certificates of certification standards, delivery documents and invoices, from which we can deduce where the raw material or yarn comes from.

To provide more transparency within and across our supply chains, we work with retraced which helps us to map and overview our supply chains. We also document the supply chains, materials, certificates and transaction records of our suppliers.

Complaint Management

We are also constantly expanding the area of complaint management and want to offer all internal and external employees who work directly or indirectly for us and our production facilities the opportunity to express dissatisfaction and submit complaints in order to find constructive solutions for them. Our complaint management system also enables us to deal with problems in a transparent and effective way and to get an overview of recurring problems, so that we can increase the satisfaction of those affected and secure it in the long term.

We are also in direct contact with our producers and inform them of our minimum requirements for a complaints management system. We receive regular insight into the complaints received and as of this year, we are increasingly monitoring dissatisfaction with the help of direct surveys.

If you have any information about our supply chain or production that you would like to share with us - anonymously if you wish - you can do so through our whistleblower system.
