erlich textil has been around since 2016. In 2023, we bought the brand back from a corporation and have been self-owned ever since. You notice that in how we work: small team, short communication paths, and decisions are made where the actual work happens.
How we work
Remote-first, but not alone
You work where you work best. We meet regularly in Cologne-Ehrenfeld: for planning, collaboration, and good food.
Your area is yours
A small team means: you make your own decisions in your area and stand by the results. No approval chains through multiple layers.
We are self-owned
Since the buyout in 2023, erlich textil is independent again. We decide for ourselves what we build and at what pace.
Honest internally
We produce in Europe and Turkey and talk openly about what’s going well and what isn’t. That applies both externally and within the team.
From the studio
The short version of our story
In 2016, Sarah and Benni founded erlich textil in Cologne because they wanted to make underwear with a transparent manufacturing process that is both beautiful and affordable.
In 2023, Sarah and four others bought the company back. We have been self-owned ever since, and that is the part you notice most in your day-to-day work.
