erlich materials: what goes into our products
There is no one perfect material. Every raw material has advantages and drawbacks, and which of them matter depends on the product: a brief has different requirements from a duvet cover, lace different ones from a cotton shirt.
So we decide material by material, and each time we ask the same questions: how is the raw material grown or obtained? How is it processed? Does it shed microfibres? What happens to it at the end? Sometimes we try out newer fibres: EVO® from castor oil, for example, or ROICA™ by Asahi Kasei.
