Lematex has actually been producing for us since 2016 – but only in direct contact since 2024. Together with our contact person Gabriele, a small group of highly specialized lingerie seamstresses forms the heart of our Lace collections. Lematex has existed since 1992 and, apart from the owner and 3 colleagues, is firmly in female hands, including management positions. That's how we like it.
Since 2024, we have been developing our premium collections Iconic Lace, Dreamy Lace, and the annual specials (e.g., Iconic Mesh) with Gabriele and her team. We primarily source the lace for these collections from Colombo, an Italian lace manufacturer. Our highlight: the yarn for the Iconic & Dreamy Lace is even partially degradable, and the elastane content consists of Roica V550, a degradable elastane alternative!
Elastane combines high elasticity with strength. Polyurethane ensures the cohesion of the fibers, while polyethylene glycol provides extreme elasticity. This combination makes elastane the perfect blended fiber for comfortable, dimensionally stable, and perfectly fitting underwear. In clothing, materials with an elastane content are often labeled "stretch."
