Lematex has actually been producing for us since 2016, but we have only been in direct contact since 2024. Together with our contact Gabriele, a small group of highly specialised lingerie seamstresses is the heart of our Lace collections. Lematex has existed since 1992 and, apart from the owner and 3 colleagues, is firmly in female hands, including in management positions. That's how we like it.
Since 2024 we have been developing our lace collections Iconic Lace, Dreamy Lace and the specials added each year (e.g. Iconic Mesh) together with Gabriele and her team. We source the lace for the collections mainly from Colombo, an Italian lace producer. The elastane share consists of ROICA™ V550 by Asahi Kasei.
Elastane combines stretch with strength. Polyurethane holds the fibres together, polyethylene glycol provides the elasticity. That combination makes elastane the common blend fibre for close-fitting underwear. Garments containing elastane are often labelled "stretch".
