Six people, four machines and a family's dream marked the beginning of Impetus in 1973. Today it is one of Portugal's large family businesses in underwear production and distribution. From its own brands to private label production for global customers and public sector contracts, Impetus is a reliable partner. That even applies to customers as small as us here at erlich. And we think that is really lovely.
Since 2025, Impetus has been producing all our men's underwear. Whether it is the Light Touch collection in lyocell (TENCEL™) or the Casual Cotton collection in cotton. A subtle embossed logo on the tone-in-tone waistband gives all our men's pants and boxers a modern but understated look. Which leaves room for the occasional bolder colour that regularly refreshes the collections.
Lyocell is a cellulose fibre made from wood. The yarn is smooth and fine.
